I hope you'll forgive me for the tardiness of this and the next few posts - what a busy month or so this has been! As most of you probably already know, Perry had a mild heart attack a few weeks ago, and had to have open heart surgery (triple-bypass) because of all the blockage in his arteries. I'm so grateful, thank the Lord, that he is recovering quickly and says he feels better than he has in three years.
I was amazed when I woke up from my morning car-ride nap and found our car in a long line to get in to the Shaker Woods Festival last Saturday, the 16th of August. So many people had come to this out-of-the-way festival to enjoy food, craft vendors, and great entertainment!
If playing at a picturesque vineyard isn't a happy enough thought, I don't know what is. Last Sunday, I joined Fossil Creek up in Grand Rapids, Ohio, to play a show for a relatively small but happy crowd. (Well, they Were sampling wine, too, after all...) ; )
