I hope you'll forgive me for the tardiness of this and the next few posts - what a busy month or so this has been! As most of you probably already know, Perry had a mild heart attack a few weeks ago, and had to have open heart surgery (triple-bypass) because of all the blockage in his arteries. I'm so grateful, thank the Lord, that he is recovering quickly and says he feels better than he has in three years.
As with every transition stage in life, there are a lot of questions, a lot of ideas, and a lot of wondering what's next. Lately I've been wondering if I should record another CD - and if so, what should be on it? Are my fans interested in hearing another album from me? In life, there is always constant change; naturally, I have grown musically and personally since my last album. But for an artist, there's always some amount of wondering if what you want to do next is something your current fans are interested in hearing and supporting. Orchestra auditions, bluegrass groups, CD projects, recitals and collaborations... So much on my plate these days. But where is it all leading? Where am I going?
